As we near the completion of the latest phase of ruin stabilization, one of the most amazing feats of stonemasonry comes into play.

As seen in our previous posts, the team at Dominion worked methodically and meticulously raising the south and west walls in record time. The attention to detail, from the bottom stone to the top, has been a work of art to witness in real time.

When the team reaches the top of each wall, they craft the original stones into a perfectly level surface for when the next phase going up from the walls into the roofline begins in the future. Check out these photos to see how exact their work is. In the third photo, you can see the string marker used to ensure the stones are level. It’s truly amazing.
