#GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past ten years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
This year’s #GivingTuesday will take place on November 29th, and we are asking for your help to support Makers Day at Menokin! Menokin celebrates the building arts every day, but once a year we bring makers from our community to Menokin to celebrate the maker movement with Makers Day. You can help support this event in 2023 by making a tax-deductible donation this GivingTuesday!
Our goal this year is to raise $6,000 to keep Makers Day next June as a FREE and fun community event in the Northern Neck. We invite makers from various fields of crafts to share their talents with families and community members, and we also provide music and guided tours of the ruin!
Will you help support Makers Day at Menokin in 2023? Facebook will MATCH the first $7 million in recurring donations received from November 15-December 31st made through our Facebook page - so please plan to donate EARLY!
Don’t use Facebook? No problem- we would love your donation in support of this effort before or shortly after through our website or via snail mail! Checks can be mailed to P.O. Box 1221, Warsaw, VA 22572 (please include a note that says your donation is toward Makers Day next year or GivingTuesday!)
Other ways you can support us on GivingTuesday include sharing the Menokin Giving Tuesday Facebook Fundraiser on your personal page and forwarding our email to friends and family and asking them to donate as well!
