the women of the glass house series

Project Manager and Historic Preservationist with Consigli Construction

What is your job title and responsibilities?

I am a Project Manager and Historic Preservationist with Consigli Construction.

What excites you about the Glass House Project?

It’s so different from how preservation is usually approached in the United States. It’s a great balance between giving people the ability to occupy the space of the original building without giving a false sense of history.

Who inspires you?

My nieces. I have six of them and I’m inspired by them to push through the hard days and show them that they really can accomplish so much, even in a field they wouldn’t normally see themselves in.

What would you say your biggest professional accomplishment is or the biggest professional challenge you have faced?

My Alma Mater hired me to teach a class in Project Management for Historic Preservation students. Menokin kindly allowed me to use their project as the example for the class. I am proud to share the lessons I have learned with future professionals in our field.

What words of wisdom would you like to share with the next generation of women seeking to work in your field?

Tell people what you want. You can work hard, but if you don’t tell people what you want, you can get overlooked for those promotions. Tell them your ambitions, your timeline, and ask them what you need to do to meet those goals.
