Makers Day and Market 2024

A day of creativity and shopping for all ages!

Birdhouse building, Makers Day 2023

Menokin Makers Day and Market - Join us again for demonstrations and learning at Menokin’s Makers Day on June 22, 2024 from 11am-3pm EST.

This FREE family friendly program celebrates the material culture we make and use in our lives everyday. Learn about chair making, glassblowing, basketry, brick making, woodworking, stained glass, quilting and more! Vendors will also be on site so you can purchase your own locally, sourced, hand made object to take home. Stay for the day and enjoy lunch and a tour, then take a hike and explore our trails and look for the Fairy Houses displayed in the woods. Menokin, home of a signer of the Declaration of Independence Francis Lightfoot Lee, celebrates the building of America everyday, and the people who crafted and built this country in the past and today.

We are seeking Market vendors for this special Makers Day. If you would like to sell your handcrafted goods, or would like to be a food vendor at the event, please link here or email Menokin Director of Programs, Alice French, at afrench@menokin.org for more details.
