Drum Procession
To start the ceremonies, Adam Canaday, a historical interpreter and Journeyman Coachman for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, as well as master drummer, led the descendants in a procession to the Remembrance Structure.
The procession and drumming began the feeling of community and spirituality to all who participated and connected descendants to their African culture.
